Skiing the Summit - Our 3-Day Secret
Want a quick weekend skiing vacation to Colorado? Take advantage of the Summit Pass and make it a three day weekend. Each year we fly into Colorado, making sure we arrive around 8am. Once we arrive, one of us gets the car while the others collect our bags, skis and boards. From there it is off to a good breakfast and then to the Super King Grocery Store for discounted lift tickets and food for the slopes. By packing a lunch, not only do we save a bunch on food costs, but it also allows us to eat on the lifts to maximize our time on the slopes.

We plan the trip out so we ski hard for three solid days. Day one is always Keystone. They offer night skiing. We usually hit the first run by 1pm and ski well into the dark. Day two is either Breckenridge or Vail. Because Vail is a little further west, we tend to ski it on day two. Be sure to check out the back bowls. They are wide open and a lot of fun. Getting back there can
be treacherous, but it is worth it. Day three is Breckenridge where we ski to 4pm and then hurry back to the airport for a 7pm flight home.

Enjoy!
